Lt. Gov. Plans to Lead Task Force to Determine Cost of Convening a Constitutional Convention

Governor Linda Lingle today announced that she has asked Lt. Governor James R. “Duke” Aiona, Jr. to lead a task force on the costs of convening a convention to modernize the Hawai‘i State Constitution.

During the last con con I watched our former governor skillfully cast in stone the dual demons of government employee unionism coupled with civil service status. His law firm at that time represented both the HGEA and the UPW. This article bears serious scrutiny.
